Yes, it is true, to be come friendlier online with people will help being more social in real life. But sometimes it is good to kick yourself in the butt and just talk to actual people.
I have to kick myself in the butt to talk to most anyone anyway. >.< In real life it is even harder because I can read and misread much more on a face than with words. You know?
I think it is much more valuable to try and make real, human communications. Though it is also a lot harder, it brings much more wealth. I'm happy that you are able to express these things online at least. Hopefully you will be able to do it in real life sometime. It's hard not being a part of the social world. People need each other. You know?
I think this is a good first step though. ^^
Like at my University... I start my first day on Tuesday and I just met some people already.. they are "jokers" love to laugh and say silly things. In front of my ACTUAL friends I am that type of person to them. But in front of these new people, I just sit there and laugh wanting to say things but I just sit there quiet and awkward while they are center of attention while I usually am center of attention with my friends. So it is this huge change and it does not make you feel very good. You know you CAN fit it, but you are just scared to try.
